NERD!
J.K. said that neither Book 6 or Book 7 would be as long as Book 5. Here is why I feel that cannot be so:

Things That Need to be Resolved in Book 7:
Voldemort AND the Horcuxes
Snape's role
Ron and Hermione
The elimination/imprisionment of the Death Eaters
As per above, Azkaban.
The Godric Gryffindor connection (Godric's Hollow, anyone?)
The corruption in the Ministry
Something about James and Lily Potter that we seem to be missing...

Things that Will Probably be Resolved in Book 7:
The Weasley's socio-economic status
Neville
Luna
Equal rights to non-humans in the Magical World
The uniting of the Houses
Harry's love life
The Dursley's
Remus and Tonks
Malfoy's future
Percy's relationship to his family

And more stuff, I can't remember...

You forgot the status and chain of events leading to the closing (or not) of Hogwarts. I could also think of a couple more:

- What's behind the Veil
- What of Narcissa Malfoy
- Regulus Black = R.A.B. ?
- The rest of the Order (Mad-Eye, McGonagall, etc.)
- The rest of the Professors

Remember, this book has to cover everything. I suspect it may not do so and JK may end up writing a brief 'aftermath' book giving a page or so to each of the characters in the series explaining what they go on to do after the events that are about to transpire.

Oh, and don't forget... N.E.W.T.s !!

When I posted this entry I was BANKING on you in particular adding some that I hadn't thought of. As far as Hogwarts, I figure if Voldemort is defeated, it will simply stay open.

Regulus Black = R.A.B. WITHOUT A DOUBT!

I know she's not going to tell us what's behind the veil, she'll just assume that we assume it's "the afterlife."
